hey there, im going for my 2nd trip to the derm on Friday, been on R 4 weeks Saturday (already, that flew by) anywhoo when I got my bloods done before I started I had to fast before hand, is that the case the second time round?
so far ive not had many side effects, went through a week of itchy dry skin on my face, now its just red, weirdly red face and white neck!!! whats that all about? still spotty too, have the odd morning where I think oohh nice n clear but by the end of the day theres a new addition. im blaming the stress of my children, in particular the stroppy 2yo who thinks shes the boss….. maybe im more irritable because of the pill and the roaccutane, who knows, I just know im on my last nerve most days. grrrrrrrrr

Hi. I was told to fast before each of my (3) blood tests yeah. It’s to do with what they’re testing. What I did find out on the second on was that you can drink water! I didn’t know that, I had a little sip when I brushed my teeth the first time, and that was it! Silly me! I dried out quickly, but still go the odd spot up until about 2 months, but even now (beginning of month 4) I’ll get a random one. It might be to do with all the junk I at over Xmas, but you know, you can’t help it right!

Hi Caroline,
I have a 3 year old and an 8 year old so know exactly what you mean Caroline! Thank goodness for pre-school and school, feel like I’m getting my sanity back:-)
Hang in there, I was told it’s about 8 weeks before you start noticing that your skin is improving. Keep in touch x

Thanks for your replys.
Georgina its just aswell I can have water, so thirsty since starting these tablets. my appointments not until 10:15 so im going to be so hungry by then as usually starving by half 7 lol ill need the water to take my tabs anyway.
Vanessa my youngest will be 3 in april so wont start pre-school until august, my middle child will be 5 in march and my eldest was 13 in November, so ive got the youngest suffering a new bout of the terrible 2s (thought we had passed this stage but its back) and a teenager trying to get to grips with hormones and me being all stressy because the pill always makes me a bit on edge plus my partner works off shore for a month at a time (he left last week, it already feels like a month) and my poor middle child is trying so hard to behave, he even asked me if he could do the hoovering for me today to be helpful!!! hes 4 years old, I could’ve cried, makes me realise that I need to snap out of my mood or at least not let it show to them. my youngest is prob copying me by being stroppy.
roll on 8 weeks lol
