What is Roaccutane used for?
Roaccutane also known as Accutane and Istotretinoin is a retinoid (form of vitamin A) taken by mouth that acts to loosen excess skin cells and reduce sebum secretion.
Roaccutane is prescribed for severe types of acne, or acne that is at risk of causing permanent scarring.
Roaccutane is prescribed and must be supervised by a skin specialist (dermatologist).
